I can’t say enough good things about Laura, there are too many to list here! She helped get me through a really rough time in my life in regards to pelvic pain, bladder pain, endometriosis and interstitial cystitis. I had given up hope of reducing my pain and then I was introduced to her. She literally changed my life and I’m back to doing the things I love! She is kind, understanding, gentle, and super educated in all things pelvic floor! (and more!) I am so thankful that I stumbled upon her! Anytime I have a “flare up” she is there to help me out! So grateful for her! I would 100% recommend her!

DRY NEEDLING

DRY NEEDLING

Intramuscular Stimulation Dry Needling (IMS) involves inserting a tiny monofilament needle in a muscle in order to release shortened bands of muscles and decrease trigger point activity. This can help resolve pain and muscle tension and will promote healing. This is not traditional Chinese Acupuncture but is instead a medical treatment that is based on the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems. The needle is inserted into the muscles with intention to elicit a muscle contraction in order to depolarize that muscle spindle. As a result, the muscle becomes fatigued and is no longer able to hold a contraction/trigger point. By releasing tension in the muscles IMS dry needling changes the pathway for the nerves as well as muscle resting tone.
